The Concord Community School Board of Trustees officially approved Walter Lehmann as a social studies teacher and head baseball coach at their meeting on August 7, 2017.  Lehmann takes over for Eric Nielsen who resigned after two seasons as head coach.

A 2007 graduate of Mishawaka Marian High School, Lehmann went on to play four years of college baseball at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana.  Following his graduation from Bethel in 2011, he worked in the business field before returning to Bethel to get his Transition to Teaching Certificate in 2016.

Lehmann has served as the JV Baseball Coach at Mishawaka Marian for the 2013 and 2014 seasons before moving to the position of varsity assistant for 2015 through 2017.  He is also a coach and instructor at the South Bend Cubs Performance Center and is Head Coach for the South Bend Cubs Youth Baseball 16 and under travel team.

In addition to his baseball experience, Lehmann is an active ice hockey contest official, working youth through college levels, including four Indiana state hockey championship games.
