Boys Varsity Basketball · Steve Austin Resigns as Boys Basketball Coach

Steve Austin has announced his resignation as head boys basketball coach at Concord High School.  He informed members of the team on Wednesday afternoon.  He will remain as a Wellness teacher at Concord High School.

Austin served as head coach at Concord for ten years, amassing a record of 125-102, including sectional titles in 2011 and 2014 and a conference championship in 2013.  He has a career record of 447-314 in 33 years overall as a head coach.

“We appreciate Steve’s years of service, not only to Concord, but to high school athletics in general,” said Concord Athletic Director Dave Preheim.  “In 33 years as a head coach he has touched countless lives and devoted much of himself to education-based athletics. We appreciate all he has done and wish him nothing but the best.”
