Congratulations to CHS Senior Alexa Porter who received the 2019 Thomas A. Brady Comeback Scholarship Award.  Alexa participates in Girls Basketball and Girls Cross Country at Concord High School.

The Methodist Sports Medicine Research and Education Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Methodist Sports Medicine / The Orthopedic Specialists presents the Thomas A. Brady, MD Comeback Award. This award, now in its’ 14th year, is presented to one male and one female high school athlete from Indiana as well as two Indiana college athletes who have distinguished themselves by overcoming adversity or injury, and returned and excelled beyond expectations in their respective sport(s). Recipients of this award receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The recipients were honored at a banquet on May 10, 2019 at Crane Bay Event Center in Indianapolis.

Alexa is the second Concord athlete to receive this award.  Casey Buchanan was the 2016 female recipient.
