Concord Girls Swimming Places Eighth at 2024 State Finals

The Concord Girls Swimming Team placed eighth at the IHSAA State Finals on Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10, 2024. This is the third consecutive top eight finish for the Minutemen, following fourth place in 2022 and sixth place in 2023. Concord had participants in nine of the twelve events, and finalists in seven. Event 2 – 200 Freestyle: Sophomore Catie Brenneman placed fifth in 1:49.64. Event 3 – 200 Individual Medley: Freshman Brynlee Yoder placed seventh in 2:06.26. Event 6 – 100 Butterfly: Sophomore Mya Ernsberger placed 22nd in 58.32. Event 7 – 100 Freestyle: Sophomore Catie Brenneman placed fifth in 50.64. Event 8 – 500 Freestyle: Freshmen Brynlee Yoder placed seventh in 5:01.73. Event 9 – 200 Freestyle Relay team of sophomore Mady Oiler, senior Megan Posthauer, sophomore Gia Sponseller, and sophomore Catie Brenneman placed eleventh in 1:40.43. Event 10 – 100 Backstroke: Freshman Bella Biggers placed 21st in 57.72. Event 12 – 400 Freestyle Relay team of freshman Bella Biggers, sophomore Mya Ernsberger, freshman Brynlee Yoder, and sophomore Catie Brenneman placed eighth in 3:32.73.
