Concord High School was pleased to present the following awards during Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Concord Male and Female Athlete of the Year: Griffin Swartout and Kendal Swartout The Concord Athlete of the Year is the most prestigious award presented by the Athletic Department prior to Hall of Fame Induction. Each year, members of the coaching staff nominate and vote for a male and female athlete of the year. The winners can come from any grade and any sport. Coaches consider factors such as overall athletic ability, attitude, academic achievement, being a good teammate, participation in other sports and school activities, and a host of other factors. The Outstanding Athlete Award is presented each year to those athletes who have earned nine or more athletic letters during their career at Concord High School. The Athletic Achievement Award is presented each year to those athletes who have earned seven or eight athletic letters during their career at Concord High School. 2020-2021 Frank “Bud” Hascall Scholarship Winner – Cate Stauffer Each year, Concord High School in cooperation with a group of six contributors awards college scholarships to a male and female graduating senior who participated in swimming as a senior at Concord High School and plan to attend an accredited two or four year college or vocational school. Applicants must have displayed the following character traits, which Mr. Hascall had in abundance: Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, Compassion, Generosity, and Perseverance. Since there were no male senior swimmers this year, the award was presented to a female recipient only.
