Concord High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Dennis Teegarden as the new Boys Golf Head Coach. His hiring was approved by the Concord School Board on November 3, 2025. He succeeds Aaron Goldstein who was 7-13 in one season. A 1978 graduate of Mishawaka High School, Teegarden was four year member of the football, basketball, and golf teams, and was a football teammate of former Concord Head Football Coach Tim Dawson. He went on to Indiana State University, earning degrees in Management, Industrial Tech Education, and Career and Tech Education. While at ISU, he was a five year member of the football team as placekicker. He was special teams captain as a junior and senior and earned All Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention as a senior. Additionally, he holds a masters degree from Ohio University in Coaching Education and Athletic Administration. Teegarden has taught high school for 43 years, including 34 years teaching construction at the Elkhart Area Career Center before coming to Concord as a Tech Ed teacher in 2024. His coaching experience is robust, having served as an assistant football coach for 44 seasons between South Bend St. Joseph, South Bend Riley, Elkhart Memorial, and his current position as special teams coordinator at Concord. He also served as head boys and girls track coach and assistant boys basketball coach at South Bend St. Joseph and as head boys golf coach at Elkhart Memorial from 1993-1994. Outside of teaching and coaching, he has worked five summers at Eberhart Golf Course in Mishawaka doing a variety of tasks, including redesigning the current 17th hole. He has played golf recreationally in men’s leagues since graduating from high school. “We are excited to have Dennis take over as head coach,” said Concord Athletic Director Dave Preheim. “He brings a wealth of experience from over 44 years of coaching. Additionally, as a full-time teacher in our building and member of our football coaching staff, he already knows our athletes and has the ability to interact with them both during the school day and on the course. We anticipate a smooth transition.”
